Peter Thiel famously asks his single greatest interview question: What is one thing that you believe to be true that other people think is false?
I really love this question for two reasons.
It is the unexpected bent to the question that makes it genius.
It is simplistic on the surface but the more you think about the more it reveals its layers and complexity.
The reason is it so unexpected is because there is no obvious answer to the question. It really requires the respondent to stop and think about their values system for a moment if they are answering honestly.
This really gets to the heart of the idea of true self-examination.
This is not an answer you should BS.
Your response tells you a lot about how you view the world.
